Abortion in Germany – ‘where providing information is a crime’

The current abortion law in Germany, which was introduced in 1933 by the Nazi party, criminalizes abortion and restricts doctors from giving women basic information about abortion. The progressive political parties have requested a parliamentary vote to abolish a subsection of the abortion law, and the first hearing will take place next week.  Read more

Proposed budget changes would affect family planning clinics

The Nebraskan Appropriations Committee heard testimony last week on a provision that would prohibit Title X funds from being granted to an organization that performs, assists, provides counseling, or refers for abortion services. This would inevitably lead to clinics being shut down and women being left with less access to reproductive health services. Read more

Title X Funding In Limbo With Federal Grants Slated To Expire

In less than 2 months, Title X grants will expire, and the Trump administration has yet to announce how organizations can apply for new sources of funding.
